The YTT Programs offered at Ashtanga Yoga Phoenix are uniquely structured to allow for the highest quality of instruction and yoga teacher development. It is designed with you in mind, offering both thorough training and a flexible schedule to suit your personal journey. The program is rooted in the elements of Ashtanga Yoga, AYP's 200 & 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Programs will take students on a journey to discover the following:

YTT Prerequisites:
- We recommended that students have 6 months of yoga experience prior to starting AYP 200 hour teacher training.
- Students must complete a 200 hour YTT before beginning the 300 hour program.
Training Schedule/Structure
Both 200- and 300-hour students may complete their training in 6-8 months. However, if a student begins the YTT course after it has begun, they will need to make up the missed classes by viewing and reporting on recorded sessions, attending private sessions or waiting for the next session to begin to complete all the required courses for graduation. Students have up to 12 months to complete their training and then can renew for an additional $500 fee and either a membership or class card for observation, assisting or teaching hours. This training is ongoing and students can begin any time of the year.
8-12 Month Training Schedule
Accommodations can be made for those students not living in the Phoenix Area who have a regular Ashtanga Practice.
Daily Mysore Availability (personal practice, assisting and teaching opportunities M-F 6:50-9:15AM)
Weekly: Tuesday and/or Thursday, 5:30-6:30pm
Two Hours per week: M-F, (6-7am, 7-8am or 8-9am)
*Two to four Saturdays per month, 7AM-12PM
*200/300 hour students require additional observation and practice teaching time to be scheduled individually as well as outside of the studio work.
Requirements: A minimum of 2 hours practicing in the Mysore room and 1 Led ashtanga class class--either half or full primary. Workshops once or twice each month.

Additional Pricing Information:
- To receive a teaching certificate, the tuition must be paid in full. Monthly payment plans are split according to the program duration selected.
- As a yoga teacher in trainee, each student's tuition includes
- AYP unlimited studio membership
- 10% off all studio merchandise and guest instructor workshops.
- So that we may offer each student a complete and proper training, space is limited. To reserve your space, there is a $500 deposit.*

Ashtanga Yoga Phoenix Certificate Specifications
Each graduating student will be confidently equipped to lead yoga classes, complete with breath counts, Sanskrit pose names, anatomy for muscles/bones and attachments, and teacher-student adjustments.
A certification with AYP accredits graduating students to teach locally and abroad with Yoga Alliance through our Arizona Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training Program.
