Ashtanga Yoga Phoenix is an Ashtanga Yoga studio and wellness center. We offer morning Mysore style and Led classes six days per week, along with Private Sessions in Physical Therapy, Massage, NKT, Ayurveda Cooking, Yin, Restorative, Nidra, Pilates, YTT 200/300 and community workshops, events and retreats. Our Ashtanga instructors have all completed a comprehensive Ashtanga Based training and have backgrounds in professional music, dance, neurokinetic therapy, physical therapy, personal training and more.
We are located in the heart of Downtown Phoenix, making it easily accessible for practitioners valley-wide, and Ashtanga Yoga is located in our hearts, making it just as easily accessible to our members!
Although we follow traditional sanskrit counts, poses and adjustments, we are family friendly and you will often see children, seniors and everyone in between on a mat near you. Our atmosphere is warm and inviting. You will quickly fit into our community and feel you have been practicing with us for years.
We also specialize in looking at each individual student’s needs, whether it be more focus on ancient breathing techniques, muscle testing and anatomy, modified practice or advanced postures.
Sharath Jois has said, “You should try and practice everyday.” This is where you will discover the most about yourself and receive the most benefit from your practice. Practicing 20 minutes or two hours is encourage in the studio or in home practice as this style is best developed as a lifestyle and not just an exercise class.
